A Sense of Calm. A Foundation of Trust.
ARKEA CLINIC in Nagoya was designed to inspire trust in care through a calm, reassuring environment. Tiles with subtle tonal variations lend a gentle character to the reception floor, while soft lime plaster finishes create a sense of continuity throughout the space. With ornamentation kept to a minimum, the delicate qualities of the materials and the interplay of light and shadow come to the fore.
From the corridors to each individual room, edges and material junctions are carefully resolved to reduce visual noise. The warmth of wood and gentle curves soften the restrained design, creating a serene, welcoming setting that helps patients feel at ease.
